Carrie Rhoades
Easy Interactive cards for Christmas

Carrie has been a crafty girl for as long as she can remember. Crayola and Carrie were besties! She has since upgraded to Copics, but her love for coloring and paper crafting remains the same. Carrie has made sharing her creations into a career that she loves. Sharing what she makes and the joy of being creative with others is Carrie's passion. Carrie's current favorite thing to make is Slimline cards. But her all-time favorite card to make is a Shaker card. She also enjoys creating cute things out of paper that are not cards.

Carrie's creations are usually bold, bright, full of color and lots of detail. But she thinks that the best part of this crafting community has been the friendships she has made. There is something about a common love of paper that brings crafters together. Over the last 20 plus years Carrie has taught card making classes out of her studio and on a larger scale at conventions. She has been blogging her creations for well over 15 years and started her YouTube channel almost 6 years ago. Carrie feels so blessed to get to do what she loves as her job.

Therese Calvird
Next Level Die Cutting!

Therese loves to make cards! She's been papercrafting since 2005 and decided to start her very own blog in 2010 and from there, for some reason still unknown to her, she thought it would be even more fun to start her very own YouTube channel. Therese really didn’t know what she was getting herself into and the learning curve was very steep for someone who still feels computer challenged. But it’s been totally worth it!

Therese thoroughly enjoys creating cards and videos, trying out new techniques and playing with all the fun products that are available and being able to share these with you. Her style tends more toward clean and simple, often it seems the more she tries to add to a card the more she takes away. Therese likes to colour, and is particularly fond of using different mediums such as pencils, alcohol markers and watercolours and switches between these depending on the project that she is creating or where the mood takes her.

Therese feels very privileged to be on some amazing design teams and she creates how-to videos every week. She also teaches online classes which are available at the Altenew Academy.

Therese is thrilled to be part of this wonderful papercrafting community that we have. It is the most amazing place with such incredible support and encouragement, it creates friendships that last a lifetime!

Gerry van der Velden
Mixed Media Made Easy Layered Festive Card

Gerry lives in the Netherlands with her husband and their two Papillons. Growing up as a child there were always lots of creative options for Gerry and her sister. And she has done it all, knitting, embroidery, making little boxes, painting, drawing. But somehow paper crafting always came back throughout her whole life.

After teaching life classes for up to 40 people,  making boxes, scrapbook projects and mini albums she designed, Gerry was hooked. She knew then that was what she wanted to do. Teach other people crafting skills and techniques.

The classes where it's all about learning new skills and techniques to boost the creativity of the students.

Surprising students with new and unexpected ways to use craft products is one thing Gerry loves. Turning trash into treasure is one of her favourite things along with getting the most out of craft products.

Add having lots of fun in crafting to that, and you have a good picture of what Gerry's all about.

Erica Andersson-Burke
Add sparkle to your background with Paper Glaze!

Erica has been creative in one way or another most of her life, these days it’s mostly paper crafting based and cards are the main results.

Erica got hooked on card making back in 2006, while recovering from a back injury and she needed an outlet that didn’t require too much energy. The slippery slope into this hobby was primed and greased with a tiny Christmas card kit, an innocent ‘that’s not very expensive, let’s try it’ and the rest is history!

During the years, Erica has found things that she enjoys more than others in this hobby, and coloring is definitely one of her favorite things to do.

For Erica, crafting is more than a hobby, it saves her sanity and gives her an opportunity to explore her creativity and imagination, usually with some colorful projects in the end.

Pop up Bird House Cards With Cardinals

Sabrina is a young entrepreneur who has just entered the stamp and die industry! Her company, Scrappy Tails Crafts started as a handmade greeting card business. She started it when she was 15 years old, and it paid her way through High School and College! At first, Sabrina primarily sold her cards at local craft shows, gift shops and museums.

Chelsea Comer
Oh Deer ... Let's Get Crafty!!!

InkyStamper was a dream that Chelsea Comer had for years in her head. It all began when she got hooked on stamping as a friend shared a catalog of product from a home demonstrator company. Chelsea became a rep for 3 demonstrator companies over the next 15 years. She grew in both leadership and sales becoming one of the top sales leaders for some of these companies and she even earned the incentive trips. She had built a nice size team and an expansive customer following. Unfortunately (or fortunately for her) these companies closed their doors and went a different direction.

This time after the third door closed, she felt different … she felt empowered with a lot of good knowledge on social media, sales, and understanding of what the crafty customer wanted. She had always loved dies and she commonly was coming up with ideas for that “someday”. She also had a list of “If I had a Stamp Company”. So after her three experiences she started working behind the scenes to design and pull her dream together. In June of 2019, along with her best friend and supporter Kim Hutchinson, she revealed her first stamp and die sets.

Now just over a year later with 32 stamps and 39 dies and countless fun tools and accessories, InkyStamper is a thriving business. One thing that Chelsea takes most pride in is customer service. Whether it’s timely answering of emails, fast shipping service, or the attention to details in the blue envelopes that she ships in … Chelsea puts her heart and soul into all of it. She also really enjoys going LIVE once or twice a week and getting crafty in her Facebook group and providing fun “inkspiration” to her fans and followers.

Ardyth Percy-Robb
Magnificent Multiples in Minutes

Ardyth lives in Toronto, Canada, where she started cardmaking in 2006, at a Stampin' Up! Party. Before that, she would not have claimed to be crafty or creative at all - she's an accountant (a profession where creativity is frowned upon)!

For the last 10 years, Ardyth has made many sets of multiple cards for churches to send to their members at Christmas. Last Christmas, she directed a team of ladies from the church in quickly making over 200 Christmas cards to deliver along with little gifts to nursing home residents!

Ardyth loves clean, graphic design with bold colours and lots of white space. She loves to get more from all her crafty supplies by using them in unexpected ways to create something completely different.

Natasha Davies
Embossing Beyond Stamping | Sparkle & Shine

Tasha lives in the UK, with her husband and two daughters.

Tasha began crafting after she was taken ill in 2016 and she soon discovered the joy it brought her to be able to do something; she was unable to walk and her hands didn't do everything she wanted them to, but she could still achieve something and that was such a revelation.

In card making Tasha found the opportunity to work with whatever medium she fancied that day, making whatever she felt inspired to do in that moment. She could make these small pieces of art that would go out into the world and hopefully put a smile on someone's face.

At the age of 12, her art teacher told her she couldn't draw, that stuck with her. That hurt.

Tasha believes that you can do whatever you want to do and she wants to give you the courage to try something new. You never know, you might like it!

It might even change your life, like it did for Tasha!

Tasha is passionate about crafty therapy and firmly believes everybody has an artist inside of them, you just need to find that spark of creativity within.

Tasha has been certified as an Altenew Educator, and she runs monthly live workshops.

Tasha is on several Design Teams, including WOW! Embossing Powder, so she has loads of experience with heat embossing and she can't wait to share some with you!!!
